Reporting to the National Sales Director the Lighting Technical Sales Specialist is a technically driven employee who is ambitious and selfmotivated with a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of architectural and lighting systems. The incumbent is critical in bridging the gap between technical expertise and client engagement ensuring the companys innovative products are effectively specified and integrated into projects across the country. The position leverages technical acumen industry knowledge and relationshipbuilding skills to expand the reach of company products drive revenue growth and enhance the performance of the existing sales representative network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Supports the Outside Sales Team with indepth technical knowledge of company products particularly lighting to drive product specification and year over year sales growth.
• Delivers engaging and informative presentations to architects contractors and clients to promote the companys products and solutions.
• Addresses technical questions or challenges during project discussions and presentations to ensure seamless adoption of company products.
• Provides troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues that arise during the sales or project implementation process.
• Communicates with Internal Sales Team for product coordination.
• Provides feedback to the Product Development Team on quality issues industry trends and customer feedback.
• Develops sales strategies and techniques based on customer comments and market conditions.
• Completes monthly directives based on management instructions and achieve measurable goals.
• Communicates with the Arktura Sales Team and independent representative network for product sales coordination.
• Identifies relevant projects key players and decisionmakers with the goal of increasing the frequency of Arktura product specifications by architects and designers during the design phase of projects.
• Develops and grows relationships with key industry contacts including architects designers general contractors installers and end users.
• Reports and tracks pertinent opportunity changes and information using our CRM software regarding project specifications pricing changes and progress.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to represent Arktura brand through organizing facilitating and leading meetings.
• Displays a level of professionalism and understanding that protects the companys interest while advocating for the customer experience.
• Operates with understanding and compassion in all interactions within and outside of the company.
• Provides ongoing technical support with field expertise. Offers guidance and education to architects and designers through regular calls and through active participation in key networking events.
• Guides project specifications to ensure manufacturability and feasibility on projects prior to specification quoting or project handoff.
• When possible performs risk assessments/feasibility studies for new projects with Engineering and SMEs on manufacturing capability during or prior to design consultation meetings with outside parties.
• Communicates and establishes a good working relationship with Project Management and Product Technical teams to address client concerns and project needs.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

• Ability to understand measure and work your way through architectural and wiring drawings.

• Ability to work with (IES) photometrics and room calculations with tools that may include AGI lighting footcandle level calculation programs or other related software.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the different layers of light in a design and making product recommendations based on project related requirements.

• Familiar with industry standard lighting controls and programmability including DALI DMX and Human Centric Lighting.

• Ability to develop proficiency on all products and stay current on trends to help contribute to the product development team.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong prioritization time management and feedback integration abilities.
• Independent work ethic and effective management of client and team expectations.
• Proficiency in CAD BIM and Salesforce
• Commitment to staying current with industry trends and contributing to product development.

Plant Environment This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Required PPE includes hard hat (when required) safety glasses earplugs steel toe/composite boots and fall protection.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelors Degree ideally in a technical discipline such as Architecture Engineering or related field OR equivalent combination of education and work experience required.

• 5 years of lighting sales or architectural manufacturing industry experience.
