SUMMARY

Senior role in the global Enterprise Incident Management team where the focus is on managing incidents communicating with business stakeholders and senior leaders and collaborating with business and technology teams as part of Northern Trusts operational resiliency framework.

Northern Trust has offices based in both Melbourne and Sydney however due to the follow the sun model we are open to other locations within Australia and will be open to remote working.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Manage and triage incident command centers (in collaboration with Technology) to appropriately respond and recover from operational business and / or technologyrelated incidents
  • Collaborate with business teams to provide threat and vulnerability monitoring from our technology platforms and any market infrastructures
  • Support the development and update of incident communication templates to be used for providing stakeholder updates on real and/or potential businessimpacting events
  • Support post incident assessments documenting results of assessment and tracking follow up deliverables identified including analysis root cause and immediate remediation
  • Provide Incident Management stakeholder training as needed
  • Support coordination between the business and Regional Response Teams including coordination of stakeholder actions and reporting statuses for significant incidents
  • Work within the team to ensure that operational productivity and volatility metrics are in place to manage Business Reporting / Escalation of Incidents to Senior Management and Resiliency Office
  • Supports the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Knowledge of incident and crisis management disaster and business recovery and continuity management
  • Strong communication collaboration and presentation skills
  • Understanding of risk management practices including cyber security and how they apply in Financial Servicesorganizations including the impact of regulation on operational resiliency matters
  • Experience supporting the implementation of projects and working with crossfunctional teams
  • Working knowledge of technologies relevant to responsibilities
  • Ability to drive to on complex items and changes
  • Applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance

EXPERIENCE

  • 612 years of related experience in Custody Operations Business Continuity Disaster Recovery Incident Management or Risk.
