College of Health Professions and Sciences Office of Student Success:
The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training communication sciences and disorders physical therapy and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCFs largest majors health sciences as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework field experience and interprofessional education our students develop highdemand skills in healthcare and communitybased initiatives for working with varied populations.
The Opportunity:
The UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a Career Development Coordinator Health Professions position. This position will provide academic and administrative support for programs and services that are provided by undergraduate affairs at the College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate academic success workshops programs and initiatives for undergraduate students in the college.
Develop coordinate and manage career readiness and development initiatives and programs and research engagement for undergraduate students in the college.
Develop coordinate and manage experiential learning initiatives and events for undergraduate students in the college.
Develop coordinate and maintain uptodate information on the application process and admission requirements for graduate programs in health professions.
Manage and coordinate the process of updating and training student support staff on prehealth professions preparation application and admission process. This will include the development of a structured process to ensure uptodate training of staff members who work with CHPS students.
Coordinate and communicate with student support offices at UCF in planning collegespecific student engagement initiatives.
Develop reports and analyze data to evaluate and improve student professional development and career readiness programs and initiatives.
Other duties as assigned and as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing and coordinating undergraduate student success initiatives and programs at a university level.
Experience in working with prehealth professions students and knowledge in career preparation and application process to graduate health professions programs.
Experience in developing and coordinating career readiness and professional development events and initiatives for undergraduate students in health majors at the university level.
Ability to navigate evolving student needs institutional priorities and program requirements while developing innovative solutions to challenges.
Ability to effectively communicate with students faculty and staff through written verbal and digital means.
Proactive approach to program development and problemsolving with the ability to take ownership of projects work autonomously and drive initiatives forward while ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Experience in preparing marketing material for student success programs.
Experience working across departments and teams to coordinate programs events and initiatives.
Experience in developing reports and assessment of student success programs.
