The opportunity we have available
The Legislation Liaison Unit (LLU) performs a critical role in facilitating the departments legislation program. The LLU is comprised of nonlawyers and provides specialist advice and procedural support to ensure legislative instruments and bills progress efficiently through Parliament and the Federal Executive Council (ExCo) in accordance with established process requirements outlined in the official handbooks and guidelines.
The LLU is structured in three specialist teams and successful candidates may be placed in any of the following:
As an APS6 Liaison Officer you will play a key role in leading and coordinating legislative processes ensuring compliance with government procedures and working closely with senior stakeholders. This role requires highlevel analytical skills leadership capability and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment.
