Job Description
Were looking for a Product Designer that can understand the container observability needs of developers and turn them into elegant and delightful products. Containerization technology is evolving fast so while a solid foundation in cloud computing concepts is helpful we are looking for someone that is excited and curious about this space and has experience learning new technologies firsthand. As the designer on the Containers Observability team youll work with a talented team of technologists and subject matter experts to understand customer needs and design workflows that meet them. Youll also be a member of a supportive pod of infrastructure product designers that collaborate to improve each others work and create useful crossproduct experiences.
What Youll Do:
- Work with product managers engineers and data scientists to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
- See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas sketch and prototype to bring them to life and ship products and features that make Datadog better
- Become an expert in your product area
- Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be built
Who You Are:
- You have 4 years of experience in digital product design
- Your portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping visual and interaction design work in web applications
- You are an excellent visual and written communicator able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisions
- You have experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. Figma Protopie Principle Framer Sketch)
- You understand systems thinking and componentbased design patterns
- You give and receive feedback well supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own
