Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Consolidations and Reconciliations: Prepare and manage the consolidation of financial statements and perform regular reconciliations to ensure accurate and uptodate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Financial Statements: Prepare monthend quarterly and yearend financial statements and ensure they align with company objectives.
- Systems Management: Utilize SAP and Xero to streamline accounting processes manage transactions and monitor financial data.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to streamline workflows and ensure accurate reporting.
- A relevant degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional Qualification: SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) registered.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role with exposure to consolidations reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Skills Required
- Proficient in SAP and Xero.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Experience in handling financial statements for multiple entities.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle large volumes of data with accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively with others and collaborate across departments.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
