Responsibilities & Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various messages alarms or issues
- Identify issues or problems and resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary
- Troubleshoot problems using scripts and standard routine procedures; escalates as appropriate
- Initiate resolution as appropriate for enterprise level routers and switches
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance
- Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as directed by management
- Maintain required security posture on all network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates and requirements including updates STIGs IOS upgrades and other basic network security requirements
- Support special projects and daytoday operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
- Support oncall rotation schedule
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
- Active IAT II certification
- Active CCNA Certification
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN switching including Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) Port Security Spanning Tree and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations.
- Experienced with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP OSPF ISIS etc. and best practices on implementation.
- Experienced with programming maintaining and troubleshooting encryption devices (KG175D KG250x KG175G etc. at network points of presence including management via GEMX.
- Experienced with Cisco ISE and Cisco Cisco Catalyst Center Network Management (FKA Cisco DNAC)
- Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures
- Experienced with DoD network and application security hardening requirements
- Experienced with L1/L2 network troubleshooting (NIPR and SIPR)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experienced working at the Pentagon Joint Base Andrews (JBA) and Joint Base AnacostiaBolling (JBAB)
- Knowledge of Air Force Pentagon and/or AFNCR
Overview
TekSynap is seeking an experienced Network Administrator with a background in supporting cryptographic devices and DoD circuits. The successful candidate will be expected to implement engineering solutions and assure network operational stability. Must have experience supporting network operations and maintenance new engineering change task orders technical refresh new system improvement and modernization activities and other major changes that occur.
The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF) Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Joint Chiefs of Staff and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon Joint Base Andrews (JBA) Joint Base AnacostiaBolling (JBAB) and other locations leased spaces and alternate sites.

WAGE INFORMATION
Target salary range: Secret Clearance $101000..00 Top Secret Clearance $110000..00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individuals particular combination of education knowledge skills competencies and experience as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
