Title: Community Resource Manager

Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Community Resource Manager. The Community Resource Manager plays a vital role in fostering a vibrant and engaged school community. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of strategic thinking community building and fostering strong relationships while managing multiple initiatives. The following skills and responsibilities are essential to support and empower the neighborhood align initiatives with strategic goals and drive community growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The responsibilities of the Community Resource Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing clear achievable objectives aligned with community needs and organizational goals.
  • Demonstrates competency in the theory and practice of SEL.
  • Conducts home visits with the purpose of lending support to school personnel and the family as well as for the purpose of assessment.
  • Builds positive relationships with students families administrators teachers and staff by bridging the gap between home school and community.
  • Facilitates meetings and small group counseling that addresses the impact of trauma.
  • Provides crisis intervention including administering risk assessments.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary intervention and special education meetings.
  • Identifies and reports child abuse and neglect.
  • Supports parents in accessing and utilizing school and community resources and advocates for new and improved community/school services.
  • Provides staff with essential information to better understand factors (cultural societal economic familial health etc. affecting a students performance and behavior.
  • Acts as homeless (Project Connect) and Foster Care (KISR! liaison.
  • Develops staff inservice training programs.
  • Participates in the district crisis response team.
  • Furthers professional growth by seeking feedback reflecting on and assessing ones own practice.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to assist in providing services to children and families.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Leveraging community insights and data to inform decisionmaking and improve outcomes.

  • Designing and implementing procedures and guidelines that align with school and community goals.
  • Building meaningful relationships by fostering trust understanding and support with community members.
  • Mediating and resolving disputes in a constructive and restorative manner
  • Understanding and addressing the diverse needs and concerns of the community.
  • Providing resources and assistance to community members ensuring their needs are met.
  • Leading discussions events and initiatives to drive engagement and build connections within the community.
  • Actively seeking and welcoming new members community leaders and potential partners.
  • Representing the interests of the school and community ensuring voices are heard and supported.
  • Overseeing and managing communitybased programs and initiatives to ensure success and sustainability.
  • Allocating resources effectively to maximize impact and support key community goals.
  • Leading motivating and supporting staff and volunteers to achieve common objectives.
  • Coordinating and managing relationships with external partners vendors and suppliers to ensure efficient operations.


Education and Experience:

  • Masters Degree in Education Social Work or Project Management
  • Demonstrates knowledge of PBIS SEL Mental Health Community Mental Health Resources DeEscalation and Trauma Informed Care
  • Demonstrates experience working with families in poverty and working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  • Willingness to embrace systemslevel work in positive school culture practices.

REPORTS TO: Positive School Culture Director

Employment Provisions:
Type of Contract: 260 days
Salary: CAAS Manager I
