Job Description
Wells Village School Guidance Counselor Wells Village School is seeking a guidance counselor to work with students grades PreK6 for theschool year. The ideal candidate would be dedicated to students and families and to working collaboratively to create an educational environment that focuses on the socialemotional wellbeing of all children.Duties may include but are not limited to: Implementing effective programs lessons and activities to support students with coping strategies; peer relationships andeffective social skills Providing individual and small group counseling to address issues with selfimage and selfesteem peer relationships familyconcerns behavior and restoring and repairing relationships when appropriate Providing assessment by helping students identify their skills abilities achievements and interests through counseling andguidance activities Assisting with HHB investigations Assisting in crisis situations Communicating and exchanging information with families on a regular basis Participating as a member of the school MTSS team Leading student groups Participating as a member of the school scheduling committee Developing and /or implementing SEL lessons activities and curriculum by way of direct instruction to students in theirclassrooms
