As a ForesterinTraining you will be an integral part of the Canfor Woodlands team gaining handson experience across all key forestry functions. This entrylevel role includes rotation through silviculture planning permitting and harvesting departments ensuring you develop a wellrounded skill set and understanding of each area. Based at our Cranbrook BC office this junior forestry position is designed to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to advance your career in forestry. A day in the life of a ForesterinTraining includes:

  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implementing efficiencies and costsaving initiatives.
  • Completing planning activities and necessary assessments.
  • Handling permitting appraisals and site plans.
  • Overseeing harvest supervision and silviculture activities.

For this role youll come equipped with:

  • A bachelors degree in forestry or a related field (preferred).
  • A strong understanding of forestry principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to various forestry functions.

The salary range for this position is: $69000.00$86000.00
