About the role
The Heart and Lung Clinic at St Vincents Health Network is looking for a dedicated and proactive Administration Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors answering queries and guiding them through the clinic and hospital services.
Patient Support: Manage patient records assist with appointments and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth clinical care.
ProblemSolving: Handle patient and family inquiries with empathy resolving issues before seeking further assistance.
Admin Tasks: Order supplies arrange repairs book interpreters handle mail and support the team with various administrative duties.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff to update records track results and improve clinic processes..
About you
Were looking for a proactive and compassionate individual who thrives in a healthcare environment and can make an immediate impact in our Heart and Lung Clinic. Youll bring:
Healthcare Experience: Previous experience or a Certificate III in Health Administration (or equivalent) in a healthcare setting is preferred demonstrating your understanding of healthcare systems and processes.
Team Player: The ability to work seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team ensuring topnotch service and care for our patients.
Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English ensuring you can connect with patients families and healthcare staff at all levels.
Empathy & Professionalism: Confidently handle sensitive situations offering support to distressed individuals and interacting respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
TechSavvy & Organised: Proficient in Health Information Systems including patient administration and Medicare billing and experienced with word processing spreadsheets and other office tools to manage tasks efficiently.
