Job Summary:
The Department of Family and Community Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a fulltime Clinical Assistant Professor (HS). Thesuccessful candidate will:
- Devote fulltime effort to direct patient care in the clinic (outpatient) and inpatient settings.
- Provide six sessions a week (three days) of direct patient care at out Empire location and provide teaching and supervision of residents and medical students four sessions (two days) a week while participating in the departments inpatient service.
- Contribute to the growth and revenue of Family and Community Medicine at Empire; our goal is to increase visit volume to 15000.
- As the clinician solely dedicated to clinical care will increase UHD patient volume patient panels access and revenue.
- Supervise resident and medical student clinical care and provide direct patient care which will give our patients the option of seeing a physician outside of the teaching physician setting.
- Help to maintain our quality metrics value based revenue programs and improve patient experience.
Required Qualifications:
- New York State Medical License (DO/MD).
- Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine or by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
- Ongoing clinical activity.
