Job Summary About the Role
Assist with enhancing the physical appearance and experience of the Park District for residents and visitors to our parks and facilities.
This position is well suited for someone with a pleasant personality. Must be reliable and show initiative tact and productivity.
Required: High school graduate. Must be 18 years old. A valid State drivers license is necessary. Must be able to learn the proper use of hand tools grounds equipment and operation of trucks tractors utility carts and riding mowers. Must have or complete Mandated Reporter certification within 30 days of hire date.
Scheduled shift hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Weekend shifts are required with varying hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Start times may fluctuate based on department needs and special events. Work on July 4th and 5th is required. This position offers 3040 hours per week with a maximum of 1000 hours per year. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions including heat rain and cold.

Under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and Planning and the Assistant Superintendent of Parks the General Maintenance Associate shall complete all assigned duties to the best of their abilities and be ever mindful of the best interests of the St. Charles Park District and of fellow employees.
