Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook to join our team at the Dandelion Cafe Rice University location at 6100 Main St. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker with a passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering highquality dishes. As a Line Cook you will play a vital role in our kitchen preparing and executing menu items to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
This is MonFri 11 am to 7 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is cooked and presented in an appealing and timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with inventory management including receiving and storing supplies.
- Monitor food quality and freshness making adjustments as necessary.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- A passion for cooking and contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
