Job Description

Host Company:
Founded in 1970 this host company is a leading global professional services firm of 5000 consultants and service providers. Operating in 125 countries working across six continents they define design and manage projects that create shared value to a complex urbanising and resourcescarce world.

The company works across six sectors: property energy transport water resources defence and government services. Their services span twelve clusters: project and program management; design and development; water services; environment; advisory and management consulting; exploration and development; planning and approvals; health safety and risk; oceans and coastal; laboratories; training and communication and creative services.

Tasks:
  • Prepare and draft environmental assessment reports or sections of reports (under part 4 5 or 3A). Such reports may include REFs EISs part 3A environmental assessments and EMPs
  • Prepare and draft other project documentation and correspondence
  • Prepare and provide environmental advice to clients
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and work cooperatively with people at all levels to achieve outcomes
  • Manage multiple tasks on a range of projects and effectively deal with conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
  • Communicate and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders clients suppliers and project stakeholders
  • Proactive in managing utilisation/budget and takes corrective action if necessary in consultation with the project manager and/or project leader
  • Provide inputs to project progress reports for issue to clients
  • Undertake other work as required by the relevant project manager and/or project leader


Requirements

About You:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised and diligent in project administration (including invoicing and budget administration)
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Good team work skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Understand the need for discretion when dealing with confidential matters
  • High levels of flexibility with an affinity for working on several projects at once
  • Have a strong background in NSW and ACT environmental planning and assessment including a solid understanding of the requirements of the NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and the ACT Planning and Development Act 2007
