What Youll Do: The CareNet Director serves as the primary leader of CareNet Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (AHWFB) and part of the FaithHealth Division. The Director is also accountable to the Board of Trustees of CareNet Inc. for the operations of the corporation. The Director is responsible for the operations of a statewide network of spiritually integrated counseling facilities and for planning directing implementing and evaluating pastoral counseling and behavioral health services delivered by CareNet Inc.
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills interpersonal relationships and team building. Follows hospital policies and procedures follows departmental policies and procedures contributes to the overall quality of services assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
- Leads the subsidiary to provide highly professional care for its clients to meet standards of professional certifying bodies regulatory agencies and thirdparty payers
- Exemplifies the AHWFB Values and Code of Conduct while striving to identify compliance risk through department led risk assessments system monitoring and periodic audits and reporting any identified violation to Legal Services and Corporate Compliance Departments
- Directs operations to assure accomplishment of mission program goals and objectives consistent with values mission and policies of the medical center and the FaithHealth division.
- Works closely with FaithHealth Division administration to manage the budget and all accounting and financial operations of CareNet Inc.
- Develops strategic operational plans to enhance clinical effectiveness and promote the financial viability and operational effectiveness of the department and CareNet Inc
- Responsible for staff recruitment training coaching mentoring supervision and evaluation of nonclinical staff only.
- Expands and maintains positive working relationships with local sponsoring boards and organizations
- Collaborates with Behavioral Health services lines in the AHWFB market and region
- Relates to and provides leadership to state and national behavioral health organizations and networks that contribute to the intelligence of the Division and medical center.
- Propose apply for and manage grants as sole recipients or in conjunction with partners and other grant recipients.
- Provide oversight for internal and external communicationssocial media newsletters blogs letters etc.
What Youll Need:
- License/Registration/Certification: Mental health licensure necessary for clinical practice (i.e. LPC LCSW LMFT). Ordination to ministry preferred
- Issued by (Governing Body): Per licensing body
- Level of Education: Masters degree required; Doctoral degree preferred
- Field of Study (if applicable):mental health counseling and/or behavioral health with a strong background in theology divinity spirituality or religion.
- Years of Experience: Five years minimum as a senior leader in faith and behavioral health organizations required.
- Describe Type Experience: Senior leader in related faith and behavioral health organizations required.
- Ordination or endorsement with a religious denomination/organization preferred

- Fundraising public relations and organizational skills are necessary to build and maintain viable spirituallyintegrated counseling services.
