Know Your Rights: are seeking Student Nurses to join our clinical teams at St John Hospital a member of Prime Healthcare in Leavenworth KS.
The Student Extern is an adjunct to the patient care team. The extern performs at the level that has successfully been completed and passed in the clinical section at a local college. Under the general supervision of an experienced Nurse the extern provides direct patient care in accordance with the established protocols the skills they are able to perform are expanded. All newly hired externswill first function in the capacity of a nursing assistant regardless of their nursing program clinical level. When the student has been cleared by the Supervisor they may be moved to their appropriate skill level.

Qualifications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE TRAINING
1. Successfully completed the Fundamentals of Nursing progam and 1st semester of Nursing School
2. Must be in good and academic standing
3. Current Basic Life Support Certification
4. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.but not requried.
