As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering Excellence you will be responsible for defining and driving the creation and establishment of the new Software Engineering Excellence Centre. Your primary focus will be on promoting software engineering craftsmanship improving the developer experience at scale and integrating AIaugmented solutions across multiple development stacks within the organisation.
Your Job
What this role looks like.
- Defining and implementing strategies to promote software engineering craftsmanship and best practices across the organisation
- Driving initiatives to enhance the developer experience for both internal and external teams while also providing the necessary tools and support
- Integrating emerging software development methodologies and AIaugmented solutions aligned with the organisations goals
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks with crossfunctional teams to streamline software development processes
- Developing and monitoring metrics to measure engineering practices and developer satisfaction using data for continuous improvement
- Mentoring engineering teams and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
- Optimising and automating processes within the software development lifecycle ensuring effective communication of changes
- Championing the use of AI tools to improve efficiency code quality and overall developer productivity
- Fostering collaboration and seamless integration across multiple technology stacks
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
- Masters degree in information technology computer science software engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Leadership experience in software engineering or developer advocacy
- Demonstrable experience driving software engineering excellence and improving the developer experience
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices methodologies and technology stacks
- Familiarity with AIaugmented engineering tools and techniques
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical and operational issues
- Entrepreneurial spirit positive attitude and a structured approach to driving change
- Experience mentoring and inspiring engineering teams promoting continuous learning and innovation
- Agile mindset with a servant leadership style
- Excellent communication and networking skills in English ability to align multiple stakeholders
- Experience working across multiple development stacks
- Willingness to travel abroad
