Job Description

Our client an already established company in heavy industrial manufacturing industry is looking for a Day Shift Electrician to join our Maintenance Department in Durban.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Matric N6 and a recognized Electrical Trade Test.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and analytical abilities attention to detail excellent communication skills and a solid electrical engineering background.
  • Able to pass a safety medical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all electrical legal requirements.
  • Provide Electrical Engineering support to the facility.
  • Maintain plant reliability and execute planned maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize expertise to support an empowered workforce.
  • Review and establish electrical procedures where necessary.
  • Perform standby duties for the E&I department.

Only candidates that have experience in the following industries for at least 5 years need apply:

Petrochemical Oil & Gas (Upstream Midstream or Downstream) Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Power Generation (Thermal Renewable or Nuclear) Mining and Minerals Processing Steel and Aluminum Production or Cement and Construction Materials
