Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision perform all required tasks related to the trade associated with the respective project.
- Work with and assist Operator of a higher grade.
- Under general supervision perform tasks which the Apprentice has completed and signed off in the Apprenticeship Program.
- Maintain teh cleanliness and housekeeping of workshops and equipment in current work areas.
- Complete training in the Apprenticeship Program at the pace and knowledge level prescribed in the Apprentice and Training Standard.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Electrical & Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be accepted into the Apprenticeship Program in accordance with the Apprenticeship Agreement.
Education Experience and Certifications
- 2year AAS Degree in a technical discipline
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform a wide range of operational tasks within a hydroelectric power plant

Hourly rates for unionrepresented employees are collectively bargained by the New York Power Authority and IBEW. The negotiated pay rate for this position is $35.30 per hour.
