As a critical member of the Site Leadership Team for Catalents largest site the Senior Director of HR will drive both strategic and tactical site initiatives. This position reports directly to Catalents Global Head of Human Resources for Cell & Gene Therapy and will act as a strategic business to the General Manager and the various functional leaders addition The Senior Director of HR will ensure of HR for the site in the areas of employee relations talent acquisition talent management and will be responsible for rollout of corporate initiatives in all areas of HR within the framework of Catalents overall corporate philosophy and policies external laws and regulations.
The Role
Develops and directs HR policies procedures plans programs and budgets for staffing employee relations compensation benefits training organizational development and HR information systems. Ensures alignment with Catalent Pharma Solutions policies and business objectives.
Manages and develops the HR team including HR Managers Generalists and Coordinators. Partners with site leadership in strategic planning providing HR insights and ensuring business alignment.
Provides counsel to managers and employees on HR issues organization structure and development. Establishes credible relationships with management and employees offering support and problemsolving assistance.
Directs recruitment selection and placement of qualified personnel. Implements and administers performance management and succession planning programs to improve productivity and ensure operational continuity.
Collaborates with Catalent Compensation to develop and administer fair reward systems. Implements cultural change initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Serves as the sites chief spokesperson for employeerelated matters with external agencies. Ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Develops and manages the department budget while maintaining the effectiveness of relevant Quality System components.
The Candidate
Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline (e.g. HR Business or equivalent) required; Masters degree or MBA preferred; HR certification (e.g SPHR SHRMSCP) a plus
Minimum 10 years broad and progressive experience in human resources with 7 years in a management role within large organizations with progressive HR systems and processes.
Experience in manufacturing and leading the HR activities for a manufacturing site is required. Experience in the pharmaceutical or related technical industries preferred.
Expert knowledge in HR management concepts with a strong consultative but resultsoriented approach.
Analytical ability both interpersonal and issuerelated; good judgment and ethics; professional presence and demeanor; strong interpersonal skills and political savvy.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $223760 to $307760 plus variable incentive compensation. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry skillset education business needs etc. Catalent is a multistate employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
