L3Harris in Brighton are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. As part of the RC135 based Airseeker/Rivet Joint programme we deliver strategic and tactical intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability. What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Preparation and assembly of test rigs and fixtures
- Fitment and verification of test measurement instrumentation
- Operation of dedicated test facilities to conduct product development and production acceptance tests to defined test procedures including:
Weapon Release / Climatic / Pressure / Structural / Vibration - Liaison with test engineering design and manufacturing departments
- Recording of test results and product handling using logbook system
- Understanding and consideration of safety in the workplace at all times
What youll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Relevant college qualification or suitable apprenticeship with experience of practical skills
- Understanding of the principles of testing
- Proven knowledge of mechanical assembly
- Proven practical skills and use of hand tools
- Methods of assembly and selection of fixings
- Understanding of technical drawings
- Ability to consistently follow operational instructions
- Ability to learn product knowledge and apply troubleshooting through critical thinking
