Job Description

REPORTING TO:

Aliva and Xrock Sales Manager North America Sales Area

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy in conjunction with the Aliva & Xrock Sales Manager North America Sales Area which complies with the business lines short and long term strategic objectives and goals.
  • Conduct analyses of the market customers competition latest trends challenges and product developments to identify sales and new product opportunities.
  • Prepares and executes action plans for effective search of sales leads new markets and new customers including dealerships.
  • Customer focused follow up customer inquiries promptly offering appropriate solutions.
  • Dealer/agent management experience required
  • Implement a solutions oriented approach and valueadded selling practices.
  • Build and maintain quality relations with new and existing assigned accounts.
  • Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts.
  • Utilize company generated leads to expand current customer base penetrate new market areas and to develop new accounts.
  • Regularly meets with customers in territory to observe operation and obtain feedback on Aliva and Xrock equipments performance and Customer Service and Service needs and issues.
  • Willingness to travel and work as part of a global team of professionals. Extensive travel in North America and occasional international travel will be required.
  • Demonstrate competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the mining and civil/construction industries.
  • Understands customer specifications local equipment requirements regulations applicable legislation and ensures all design work being done is being performed with customer applications and the terms of the purchase order.
  • Create customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements in an efficient manner.
  • Assist in sales forecast and budget preparation including monthly reporting
  • Maintain accurate up to date records of all quotations sales and activity reports for all accounts.
  • Act as a representative of Normet at trade association meetings conferences and trade shows to promote our products and services
  • Communicates with Finance Department to expedite invoicing collections and to communicate planned expenditures.
  • Adhere to all company policies procedures and business ethics codes of conduct.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by managers.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Dealer Development experience.
  • Prospect and execute dealer strategy to increase dealer channel.
  • Knowledge of shotcrete or equipment sales.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic attachments or hammers.
  • MSHA certification or underground experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50.
  • Self starter.
  • Experience creating and presenting sales meeting material to dealer principals and sales managers.

JOB QUALIFCATIONS:

  • 5 plus years in dealer sales environment.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation abilities.
  • Acutely aware of customer service opportunities.
  • Ability to problem solve on the fly.

COMPLIANCE & AUTHORITY:

Employees have a responsibility to:

  • Actively participates in and supports HSEQ activities to ensure work is performed safely and to the highest quality.
  • Comply with Normet safety policies procedures and work practices and all regulatory and customer specific requirements.
  • Ensure contractors and visitors are informed of all necessary safety instructions and information when on Normet premises.
  • Must wear PPE clothing and items as required for the task being undertaken.
  • Shall read and understand all relevant SOPs pertaining to any equipment/machinery/vehicles.
  • Complete training as required.
  • Must report all safety concerns incidents improvement opportunities and injuries in the workplace.
