- Supervision and Support:
- Assist in supervising staff including teachers and support staff.
- Provide guidance and support to staff including new hires and substitutes.
- Assist with staff training development and evaluation.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- Program Implementation and Compliance:
- Assist in developing and implementing program policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal state and local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Monitor classrooms for compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records including child and staff records.
- Communication and Parent/Community Engagement:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents staff and other stakeholders.
Assist in organizing parentteacher conferences workshops and other events.
Represent the childcare center in a positive and professional manner.

- Daily Operations:
- Assist in the daily operation of the childcare center including managing schedules activities and transitions.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children.
- Assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized environment.
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Assist in the development and implementation of ageappropriate curriculum and activities.
- Support classroom teachers in their instructional activities.
- Observe and assess childrens development and progress.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with staff recruitment and hiring.
- Assist with budget management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience:
- Relevant experience in early childhood education or child care.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children parents and staff.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of child care laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
