THE ROLE: Senior Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the next generation GPU chip development team at AMD Santa Clara in ASIC Physical Design domain. As a senior manager you would be managing and leading a team of ASIC Physical Design engineers working on leading edge GPU products at AMD. The team is responsible for driving RTL to GDSII activity on leading edge process nodes as well as contributing significantly to Flow/methodology developments and improvements. We are looking for an extremely strong technical leader who will guide and grow the team significantly.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 15 years of relevant experience in ASIC Design
- Solid understanding of RTL to GDSII design closure cycle with extensive handson experience leading teams on multiple projects on latest process nodes
- Expert user of EDA tools like Fusion Compiler ICC2 Innovus Primetime as well as latest tools methodologies and techniques to drive design closure in an efficient manner.
- Drive crossfunctional teams (PnR Technology CAD and Design methodology) and optimize margining practices across boundaries to deliver best in class performance/watt
- Should be able to drive the team independently and completely own multiple critical Initiatives in parallel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must. Should be willing to contribute to cross functional and cross geographical team endeavors in terms of methodology and design process improvements.
- Ability to provide mentorship and guidance to junior and senior engineers and be an effective team player
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Masters or Bachelors in EE/ECE
