Our students achieve exceptional success at the postsecondary level reflecting the highquality preparation they receive during their time at our school.MVRCS students in Grades K12 follow a dress code and attend school for 200 days of instruction with each school day lasting 60 minutes longer than the typical public school day. These factors ensure that our students have every opportunity to receive a worldclass education.About Rosetta Stone:Rosetta Stone is a leading platform that empowers students to read write and speak new languages with confidence. Its dynamic approach accelerates language acquisition benefiting both English language learners and those studying foreign languages.Rosetta Stones structured immersion method accelerates language learning by introducing new skills at an ideal pace and providing opportunities for practice in realworld contexts. Starting on day one students learn intuitively through images and audio from native speakers building proficiency through listening speaking pronunciation reading grammar vocabulary writing and review skills.By mimicking the natural process of language acquisition Rosetta Stones immersive approach allows students to learn without relying on English instructions or translations. They understand language through context and reasoning resulting in deeper and more lasting comprehension.Students spend the majority of their time speaking aloud and receive immediate feedback on their pronunciation helping them gain confidence and comfort with realworld conversation.Job Description & Responsibilities:Implement the designated curricula using the Rosetta Stone program.Enforce procedures for using equipment materials software hardware and peripherals.Troubleshoot and diagnose basic issues with computer equipment.Perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment when needed.Maintain classroom structure and schedule.Manage classroom behavior using the 4:1 Ratio of Positive Comments.Document lessons and student progress daily submitting weekly reports to the Professional Development Coordinator.Track successes and challenges with CK lessons and report them weekly to the PDC.Participate in professional development training sessions.Attend and contribute to weekly gradelevel meetings weekly/biweekly Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings and bimonthly staff meetings.Participate in IEP meetings as necessary.Complete four progress reports and report cards per year for all students including those in homeroom/specialty classes and academic groups.Attend four parentteacher conferences each year (two in the spring and two in the fall).Attend Back to School Night and open house events.Participate in the Holiday Performance and High School Senior Luncheon.Assist with morning lunch/recess and afternoon duties as assigned.Support and adhere to all school policies and procedures.Complete all duties assigned by the Lead Teacher.Requirements:A bachelors degree.Clear and concise communication skills both orally and in writing. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.Ability to identify problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Awareness of school requirements state and federal laws and MVRCS policies.Strong collaboration teaching coaching and leadership skills to support student programming and teamwork.Successful completion of applicable MTEL tests within one year of employment.U.S. work authorization required.This position will be evaluated annually and is an annual appointment.Mystic Valley is an equal opportunity employer.
