Teaching and Academic Resources Officer

Salary:UoM 6 $96459 $104413 p.a. plus 17 super

The Department of Accounting is seeking a highly organised and proactive Teaching and Academic Resources Officer to support the administration of teaching and learning across undergraduate postgraduate doctoral and executive programmes. This pivotal role encompasses curriculum management timetabling staffing coordination and the administration of subject assessments. With a strong focus on streamlining processes and driving continuous improvement you will collaborate closely with academic and professional staff to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. Expertise in academic administration problemsolving and stakeholder engagement will contribute to the effective management of teaching operations ensuring a seamless experience for staff and students alike.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting academic operations by coordinating teaching period preparations managing timetabling and enrolments facilitating staffing and onboarding processes and overseeing assessment administration including examinations and results processing.
  • Enhancing administrative efficiency by evaluating and streamlining processes implementing innovative solutions and contributing to continuous improvements that optimise service delivery and reduce administrative burden.
  • Facilitating stakeholder engagement by liaising with academic and professional staff providing clear guidance on teaching and assessment requirements responding to queries from staff and students and ensuring effective communication across teams.
  • Contributing to departmental initiatives by assisting with event planning and supporting shared services projects mentoring junior team members and collaborating on facultywide administrative improvements.

You may also:

  • Possess a degree in a relevant discipline alongside substantial experience in an academic environment or an equivalent combination of education and professional expertise.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and administrative capabilities with the ability to manage competing deadlines monitor processes and ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
  • Bring experience in academic administration including enrolments timetabling assessment coordination and staffing processes with a proactive approach to improving operational efficiency.
  • Exhibit highlevel proficiency in communication and stakeholder engagement with the ability to interpret policies provide clear guidance and collaborate effectively across academic and professional teams.
