Housing Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing healthcare HIV prevention and treatment among other lifesaving services.

Overview:
The Director of New York Community Mobilization leads the New York organizing teams efforts to recruit train and mobilize New Yorkers to impact HIV/AIDS health housing and human services policy. While the positions primary focus is to affect change regarding people living with HIV/AIDS especially those who are substance users homeless formerly incarcerated lowincome BIPOC Asian/Pacific Islander and LGBTQIA the director will also coordinate the organizers to monitor new developments in the abovementioned policies and emerging trends in these areas. They implement effective responses to existing proposed and/or new public policies affecting homeless people and people living with HIV/AIDS. The Director is responsible for building and maintaining networks of stakeholders committed to nonviolent direct action to impact policy at the local and state levels.
