The PrincipalInterim will direct lead and manage instructional programs and supervise
operations and personnel at the campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of academic achievement. Oversee compliance with district policies and procedures success of instructional programs and operation of all campus activities.
The PrincipalInterim must act with integrity support organizational goals demonstrate the
ability to inspire motivate others utilize feedback drive for results and commit to championing the needs of the students employees and overall District.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Masters degree from and accredited College or University
Valid Texas Administrators Certification
Five years experience as a classroom teacher
Five years successful experience in supervisory instructional leadership roles
Preferred:
Five years experience as a campus administrator
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Thorough understanding of school operations
Ability to coordinate campus support operations
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assist with the administrative operations of the school.
Assist with monitoring student attendance; notify parents and attendance committee
regarding students with excessive absences.
Provide for twoway communication with assistant superintendent staff students parents and community as well as promoting the expectations for highlevel performance to staff and students.
Ensure effective and quick resolution to conflicts and demonstrates resilience during and
after high stress situations.
Identify analyze and apply research findings to promote school improvement.
Assist with defining expectations for staff performance with regard to instructional
strategies classroom management and communication with the public.
Assist with employee performance record observations and conduct evaluation
conferences with staff.
Comply with district policies and state federal laws and regulations affecting the schools.
Work with faculty and students to develop a student discipline management system that
results in positive student behavior and enhances the school climate.
Perform duties delegated by the Campus Principal Office of School Leadership or
Human Resources.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following
physical demands: physical mobility standing prolonged sitting some lifting carrying
pushing and/or pulling. This position may require both traveling within the district and state
wide. Mental demands: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; ability to interpret a variety of data; ability to interpret TEC and policy; ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory ability to be effective in both oral and written communication; ability to maintain emotional control under stress. Extended hours and flexible schedule as needed.
