It is important to note that you must get approval from your current supervisor/manager to accept a Special Duty assignment. We encourage you to discuss this with your current supervisor/manager before applying. This intermittent special duty assignment will be scheduled in fullweek increments. This assignment is currently approved to last up to one year and could possibly be extended if necessary.
With a growing portfolio of property parcels and development of new technology to support our existing work King Countys Department of Assessments is looking for current King County employees to support this intermittent Special Duty Assignment (SDA) for our Property Tax Administration System (PTAS) development and support of existing legacy system applications. This will include the ability to engage directly with subject matter experts project vendors and serve as a liaison between accounting staff and other project stakeholders to support our IT systems development. Just like the industry leaders in our region we are looking for action oriented creative thinkers who can multitask and bring their technical skills and desire for excellence to this role. Are You....
The specific responsibilities of the position include a variety of production and development tasks such as supporting and enhancing existing department software applications including Dynamics 365 documenting functional accounting and treasury technology solutions customizing vendor and inhouse developed packages and other applications supporting and training users/clients troubleshooting user applications and interfaces systems integration and resolving user acceptance problems.
This position serves a vital role in meeting our mission of setting fair and equitable property values the primary service we provide to taxpayers. This role involves daily interaction with staff and requiring strong IT applications development and assessments accounting and property tax collection and billing technical knowledge and collaboration skills and a strong grounding in coding customer support and analytical skills and the ability to work in a culturally and generationally diverse teamoriented environment.
