Job Description:
The Senior Specialist Integration & Test Engineer is responsible for supporting the test and integration verification and validation of complex specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR platforms. This position will interface with other Systems Engineering Flight Line Test Software Engineering and Project Engineering personnel to understand new baseline functionality. They will plan and execute integration verification and validation testing in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne/groundbased platforms. As well as verify and validate new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality still works as intended.
Essential Functions:
- Selfstarting and able to work effectively in an independent and in a team environment.
- Must possess excellent organization communications and presentation skills.
- Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience with System Interfaces.
- Able to work w/customer systems engineers & system architects to meet delivery requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- Ability to travel as needed 10 travel expected).
- Ability to provide support regularly during ground and test flight events.
- Handson experience with RC135 Operator Interfaces.
- Ability to communicate within and outside the organization which includes customers and vendors.
- Must be able to work overtime as business requires.
- Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software.
- Verifies fixes to anomalies. Interfaces with customer personnel to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.
- Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
- Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customer informed.
- Familiarity with commercial and military broadband communication systems
- Familiarity with common Tactical Datalink radios/terminals.
- Able to read interpret create and maintain spreadsheets charts reports investigation and test plans and procedures
- Familiarity with signal generators spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and nontechnical personnel.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with six 6 years of prior Systems/Testing experience.
- Graduate Degree with four 4 years of prior Systems/Testing experience.
- In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior Systems/Testing experience.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain an FAA Class III Flight Physical.
- Must have an Active Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS with SCI security clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior experience as an RC135 Cryptologic Operator (CO) Special Signals Development (SSD) Datalink Operator (DLO) Airborne Analyst (AA) or Airborne Mission Supervisor (AMS).
