Haskell is looking for a Packaging System Analytics Seasonal Intern/CoOp. A CoOp at Haskell (or reoccurring internship) differs from a typical Internship in that you will attend school and work fulltime during a particular semester. Further our preference would be for you to continue your experience throughout multiple semesters/time frames.

The System Analytics team supports the broader business by providing consulting services to marketleading manufacturers of consumer and food and beverage products. Projects could include designing packaging and warehouse systems or optimizing existing facilities. The SA team develops and customizes tools with elements such as forecasting optimization simulation warehouse logistics and data visualization.

In this role with the guidance and mentorship of senior members you will tackle a host of Industrial and Systems Engineering problems in a rapidly changing environment. Typical engagements last between 612 weeks and an Engineering Aide must be able to effectively handle potentially 23 projects simultaneously. This unique experience will allow you to gain a wide range of experience in several markets in a short amount of time. With visibility to VPs and higher in many Fortune 100 companies this role will provide a unique and invaluable opportunity to leverage stateoftheart tools for consulting services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and master simulation software packages
  • Develop and maintain code to Haskells standards
  • Identify opportunities to leverage analytics to provide value
  • Formulate and solve complex analytics problems
  • Execute project work independently within budget and on schedule
  • Compress visualize and communicate datadriven results to customers
  • Continue to develop technical and interpersonal skills

Education/Experience:

  • Obtaining a BS in Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree
    • Interests/Background in: Simulation Optimization Forecasting Logistics

Specific Knowledge Skills License Certifications:

  • Possess strong skills with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
  • Ability to develop and maintain clean code (python VBA C# within Haskells standards
  • Possess strong data visualization skills
  • Ability to present complex ideas and results of analyses in a group setting
  • Function organize and maintain project schedules independently
  • Demonstrate good observation listening and communication skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand walk stoop kneel crouch and manipulate (lift carry move) light to medium weights of 1050 pounds. Requires good handeye coordination and arm hand and finger dexterity including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit reach with hands and arms talk and hear.
