Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform some of Pfizers most critical business questions. The Data Science Manager is accountable for delivering data science driven support for multiple brands and will partner with US Commercial team to develop and implement models and datascience derived insights that drive brands strategic priorities. This will include driving the and interpretation AI/ML models framing problems and shaping solutions. Also this person will help shape the brands strategies and tactics by interfacing closely with brand leads and Data Science COEs to develop bespoke AI/ML models to meet evolving needs and will also interface closely with salesoperations to drive .

This role is dynamic fastpaced highly collaborative and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. The successful candidate will join GCA colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Role definition and key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Commercial Data Science and Insights

  • Provide data science and insights to US Commercial teams to drive brand tactic decisions

  • Assist to frame investigate translate complex data related models and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of brand strategies and tactics

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing Leadership to support sales force

  • Connect machine learning models and insights together to identify Commercial brand opportunities and tactics to execute

  • Guide stakeholders via compelling and persuasive story

  • Strengthen the Brand and Sales teams understanding of marketplace performance and opportunities by analyzing impacts of brand strategies and tactics and partnering on data product solutions.

Collaboration with other GCA and Analytics teams

  • Partner with GCA IIS leads to incorporate data science capabilities and insights into analytics plans and recommendations

  • Ensure alignment across GCA Data Science teams and Data Science COE teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders

  • Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD

Technical Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with machine learning technology such as: big data stack Python R and visualization techniques

  • Experience in understanding brand content strategy and tactics

  • Ability to effectively utilize dashboards and data products to derive insights

  • Understands quantitative and qualitative research methodologies

  • Experience in management of secondary data with application of realworld data

  • Ability to partner with crossfunctional teams (Commercial Sales Operations) to execute brand tactics

  • Ability to connect integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful so what to drive concrete strategic recommendations for brand tactics. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree required ideally in quantitative discipline like engineering or data science and 4 years experience in business analytics function and/or strategic consulting

  • Masters degree ideally in quantitative discipline like engineering or data science and 2 years experience in business analytics function and/or strategic consulting

  • Or new PhD graduate in a relevant field with good publication/research record

  • Experience using data science models to solve problems in a business environment setting

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

  • Work location: Flexible; 23 days onsite/week

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96300.00 to $160500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
