About Studio

Cornell Techs Studio is the signature differentiator of the eight masters degree programs at Cornell Tech. All 400 of Cornell Techs masters students participate in a practically oriented multidisciplinary teambased curriculum corresponding to eight credits across two semesters. In the Studio students work in multiprogram teams to learn and practice userdriven tech industry development processes creating prototypes of digitalenabled products and services. Students engage with endusers companies nonprofits and government agencies in creating prototypes of digitally enabled solutions to realworld challenges getting vital feedback and ideas from fellow students as well as faculty and practitioners from the NYC tech community via a variety of formats including workshops lectures crits sprints and more.

Position Summary

The Studio Coach supports the of Cornell Techs Studio program working with the Studio team (both faculty and staff) to ensure students learn how to build digitallyenabled products and services that matter. The Studio Coach reports to the Director of Studio Programming and takes academic direction from the Chief Practice Officer and studio faculty.

The Studio Coach position begins August 4 2025 and concludes on December 19 2025. The position is at 75 effort 30 hours per week) and is not eligible for benefits. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Pay rate: $30 per hour

This position requires work on evenings and weekends particularly during the academic year. This position will be primarily in person on Cornell Techs Roosevelt Island campus in New York City 23 days per week; individuals must be located in the United States throughout the appointment period. Coaches will be required to be present for all Studio academic activities including classes recitations workshops and Maker Days.
