Job Description
ESG Team
Within Euronext the ESG Department is in charge of promoting ESG financial products (indices bonds derivatives equities etc. developing thought leadership on sustainable finance as well as supporting Euronext clients in their ESG journey improving Euronexts own ESG ratings coimplementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) delivering Euronexts SBTI 1.5 degree roadmap and training employees on ESG/Sustainable Finance topics. Our mission is to build capital markets for future generations. As ESG is a transversal topic that runs through the organization the team works in collaboration with many geographies and teams to create and promote the ESG value proposition.
The mission
We are looking for someone in their studies for a 1 or 2 year apprenticeship based in Paris.
Key Accountabilities
Within the ESG team the apprentice will have an important role in :
- Supporting the ESG team in promoting and coordinating ESG topics both internally and externally
- Providing qualified updates on evolving ESG regulations
- Supporting Euronext ESG team in developing new business opportunities in the ESG/sustainable finance area and actively monitor competitors undertakings
- Supporting the actions of the Euronext Foundation (Euronext Trading Game Blue Challenge etc.
- Contributing to Euronexts CSRD report
Contributing to Euronext ratings by answering agencies questionnaires and working with the right internal stakeholders (HR procurement facilities etc. to improve our performance
Knowledge Skills and Experience Required
Profile
- Student from a Tier 1 university business or engineering school with strong academic credentials.
Desired attributes and skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Perfect command of English (oral and written)
- A knowledge of French Italian Portuguese or Dutch would be a plus
- A good knowledge of the financial sector and capital markets
- A pronounced interest in Sustainabilityrelated topics
- Previous apprenticeship/position in ESG consulting an ESG Department or in Sustainable Finance is a plus
- Team spirit
- Outside the box thinking
- Appetite for communication
- Strong MS Excel and Powerpoint skills
