Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Vocational High School Computer Information Systems (Information Support Services and Networking) teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer information systems and a commitment to providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful careers in technology.Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive Information Support Services and Networking curriculum that aligns with MA DESE standards integrating both theoretical concepts and practical applications in areas such as networking cybersecurity programming and database management. Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in topics including computer hardware software applications information systems coding languages and IT project management. Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and technical skills providing constructive feedback to support student growth and readiness for industry certifications. Classroom and Lab Management: Establish and maintain a positive safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaboration creativity and critical thinking. Collaboration: Work closely with other vocational program instructors to integrate computer information systems skills into broader vocational training ensuring students receive a wellrounded education. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and stay updated on industry trends technologies and best practices in computer education. Parent and Community Engagement: Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and foster relationships with local technology firms and organizations to support student learning and job placement. Advisory Role: Act as a mentor or advisor to students assisting them with academic challenges and guiding them in career exploration and job readiness.
