Job Description: Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Otolaryngology team in the Inpatient department. In this role you will work closely with our renowned Otolaryngologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with ear nose and throat conditions requiring inpatient management. The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or PA will be responsible for assessing diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive health assessments on inpatients with otolaryngological conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Develop and implement evidencebased treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans and management.
• Monitor patients progress manage complications and make appropriate referrals as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.
• Serve as a resource and educator for nursing staff residents and medical students.

Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program or Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or AdultGerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or a Physician Assisyant (PA) in the state of Maryland.
• Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by an accredited certifying body (ANCC AACN etc. or a Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in acute care preferably in Otolaryngology or a related specialty.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.

Salary Range: Minimum53.15per hour Maximum82.38per hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
