Job Summary
The NetApp BlueXP platform team is responsible for building and leading the industrys bestinclass management platform. We have a unique opportunity to execute on our Unified Fabric within the Product Management team at NetApp. The BlueXP platform team works closely with OnPrem Cloud File Services and Data Service product and engineering teams along with GTM teams such as Solution Architects Product Marketing Sales Partners and Data Analytics.
As a Senior Product Manager in the Platform product team you will define and evolve our endtoend vision strategy and by leading a core team of engineers and designers to build for our expansive customer base. Were looking for someone who can partner and collaborate across various internal teams a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of our customers and cloud technologies such as Software as a Service containerization high availability and elastic scaling with a strong understanding of enterprise storage and hybrid cloud IT infrastructure concepts.
Job Requirements
Convert the strategy and strategic initiatives into welldeveloped plans and objectives over different time frames.
Work cross functionally with NetApp portfolio to understand product & cloud services roadmap and develop core platform roadmap which enables seamless deployment & orchestration.
Work closely with platform & cloud service architects to drive alignment on the overall platform architecture supported integrations and data flows.
Develop roadmaps and build consensus across different types of stakeholders across the organization.
Oversee the platforms development ensuring alignment with the strategy by collaborating with crossfunctional teams.
Establish and enforce platform governance policies including guidelines for thirdparty integrations data security and compliance. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Assist the product team by adequately resourcing different tasks.
Provide help and insight to the product team in developing a compelling product roadmap thats based on customer needs strategic opportunities and overall company resources.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical requirements and guide the development process.
Work with the data analytics and finance teams to extrapolate usage & financial metrics needed to measure the success of theproduct roadmap.
Technical skills:
Minimum 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
Experience building enterprise cloud services or platforms
A strong understanding of technology software development processes and platform architecture is crucial. Familiarity with APIs data management cloud computing and security concepts is beneficial.
Strong understanding of cloud services and hybrid cloud uses cases of enterprise customers
Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management Engineering UX/UI Customer Support or Marketing.
Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking skills to identify and address challenges and find innovative solutions. Ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions in complex and dynamic environments.
Understanding of business models market dynamics and customer needs. Ability to identify monetization opportunities drive revenue growth and make sound business decisions.
The platform landscape is constantly evolving so being adaptable and having a growth mindset is essential. Continuously learn and stay updated with emerging technologies industry trends and best practices.
The ability to lead and inspire crossfunctional teams without direct authority. Influence stakeholders and drive consensus in decisionmaking processes.
Education
A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role and 5 years of experience in Cloud Technologies is preferred.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science a Masters degree or a PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
