Job Description
Walsham Le Willows not far from Bury St Edmunds Diss and Stowmarket. This in an integral role within the business that will require someone who is happy to take full responsibility for all IT Systems and infrastructure keeping this busy company functioning at all times. We are looking for someone who is happy to be handson when required.
The Company
Our client is a busy property maintenance company who provide a wide range of services to customers all over the UK. These include gas and electrical safety inspections Legionella testing CO and smoke alarm repairs and installations to tenanted properties . With over 25 years experience within the residential lettings industry the company have recently expanded their offering to include boiler installations too!. The role will be working in a lovely rural setting with a supportive team.
The Job
This is a vast and also vital role covering responsibility for all IT services systems operating systems and Hardware. This includes looking after all IT support issues within the Head Office team one small remote office and all equipment used by the engineers on the road. We are looking for someone who is experienced ideally in a similar role and is happy to be the goto person for the following important areas:
- Acting as IT support helping to solve all day to day issues for the internal team as well as Engineers on the road
- Setting up Laptops PCs Tablets and Mobile phones
- Installing Windows 11 including troubleshooting any issues to make sure all equipment is ready for the switchover in October
- Repairs to Screens and SSDs
- Memory Replacement and upgrades
- Draytek Routers Switches Wifi AP
- Fibre LL NTU
- Nas Drives/ Backup
- Fixing and upgrading printers
- One Drive/ Excel Online
- CRM system Support training Engineers and liaising with the Developers
- Ordering parts and equipment
- Fixing and issues with the telephone systems and update as required
- Working on the Servers
- Setting up emails and any adjustments needed
- Taking charge of any related ongoing projects
The Person
We are seeking someone who has previous experience in a similar role and the following skills and attributes:
- Solid IT systems software hardware and operating systems
- Previous experience within an IT supporting/ office equipment role
- Someone who does not take a cavalier response to things and will understand the potential repercussions of actions before taking them. Taking the time to research fully before making any changes
- Some practical handson and basic electronics knowledge would be ideal.
- A curious and investigative nature and someone who is happy to research as required
- Excellent communications skills and someone who will be happy to be the goto person in the company for all equipment and IT (and be interrupted lots!
Pay & Hours
The role is offered on a fulltime (MonFri 9am5:30pm) permanent basis and has a starting salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Important Info
