Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a qualified individual to join our diverse Internal Audit team. The Specialist Audit position is an exciting opportunity to enhance financial operational compliance and business expertise through audits and special projects. The role ensures compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records reports operating practices and documentation; and recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure and operations.Under the general guidance of Internal Audit Managers the position will conduct financial operational and compliance assurance audits across all areas of our business. This position will also provide consultative support to business partners to identify solutions to address audit findings with the objective of mitigating risk and improving financial and operational performance.

Essential Functions:

Perform walkthroughs of business process controls and test for design and operating effectiveness across financial operational and compliance audits.

  • Independently and objectively plan and executeaudits in accordance with professional auditing standards:
    • May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.
    • May be responsible for providing guidance coaching and training to other employees within job area.
  • Interpret and analyze audit evidence operational data and/or information systems and draw logical conclusions based on evidence submitted
  • Assist in preparation of audit work programs toinclude sampling methodology and specific audit steps to be performed.
  • Prepare formal work papers documenting procedures performed and expressing conclusions.
  • Assist in the preparation of Internal Audit reports which include formal recommendations to management for review and implementation.
  • Assist in preparation of time and resource budget estimates toperform the audits and special projects.
  • Interact with a wide variety of people with tact courtesy and professionalism.
  • Effectively interact with and communicate auditstatus and results to internal audit and business unit management withemphasis on discussing deficiencies and understanding corrective actions
  • Support special projects or reviews as assigned.
  • Interface with companywide finance operation and Compliancegroups
  • Travel up to 20 including some international locations.
  • A proactive selfstarter with the ability to initiate and manage projects to completion with general supervision.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills and capable of multitasking and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build working relationships with process owners management and internal auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 4 years prior audit experience; 2 year postsecondary/AA Degree with 8 years prior experience; or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related audit experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Relevant professional certification (CPA CIA)
  • Public Accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP GAAS and IIA standards
  • Industry internal audit experience
  • Understanding of business process risks and internal controls
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado Hawaii Illinois Washington State and New York State is $65500$121500. For California Seattle and New York City the salary range for this role is $75000$139000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire schedule type and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
