We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedDirector of Financingto join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact collaborate with the Executive Team and play a key role in maximizing financing and leasing opportunities across our stores.
As the Director of Financing you will be responsible for ensuring our retail locations are fully equipped to leverage financing and leasing as a key driver of sales. Youll lead the development and of strategies to educate and support our sales teams in maximizing financing options while ensuring compliance and fostering strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities:
Financing Strategy and Implementation
- Lead the development and of financing and leasing strategies across all retail locations.
- Collect data regarding applications approval rates credit limit utilization plan usage and sales by payment term. Analyze this data in Excel and prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Controller and Executive Team.
- Analyze trends in financing and leasing activity by market retail location and retail associate to provide actionable insights to improve performance.
- Monitor the financing and leasing strategies utilized by local competition to ensure our retail locations remain competitive in the market place.
- Work closely with the Controller and Executive Team to align financing strategies with overall business goals.
Vendor Communication
- Maintain strong relationships with financing and leasing partners to ensure optimal terms and programs.
- Collaborate with financing and leasing partners to ensure our Marketing team is able to maximize the usage of buydown programs.
- Continuously explore the possibility of adding additional financing and leasing partners to offer our guests a robust choice of payment terms to facilitate their purchase.
- Facilitate the integration of financing platforms across all retail locations ensuring seamless guest experiences.
- Collaborate with financing and leasing partners on learning and development opportunities within our retail locations.
Retail Communication and Support
- Maximize financing opportunities by ensuring all associates are equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to promote and sell financing and leasing products.
- Effectively communicate promotional terms disclosures and financing strategies to the retail operations team.
- Create and deliver effective training programs to educate retail associates on financing options promotions and strategies to increase sales.
- Travel to store locations to provide ongoing training and education for retail associates to improve financing adoption and ensure compliance with programs.
- Oversee the financing and leasing portion of the certification process for new hires and manage the renewal of these certifications for retail associates.
- Utilize financial data gathered to identify team players who need additional training and support to maximize success.
- Shadow team players within the retail locations to make recommendations on strategy and as it relates to payment plan options.
- Work closely with our Marketing team to design and distribute promotional and pointofpurchase materials ensuring accurate and consistent messaging around financing promotions.
Compliance
- Ensure banking and PCI compliance standards are met across all retail locations.
- Stay up to date on current trends in the retail financing space particularly in the furniture industry and make recommendations for process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to ensure the continued success of our financing and leasing programs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience:510 years of experience in a similar financing role in the retail industry with a proven track record of maximizing financing and leasing opportunities and educating teams.
- Education:Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Excel: Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel to complete necessary analysis and report creation
