What We Are Looking For
Baylors Law School is seeking a Practice Court Associate who will support the mission of Baylor University by providing administrative and logistical support for the Practice Court program.

A Juris Doctor degree and zero years of experience required. A Juris Doctor degree and two years of experience are preferred. Bar admission required/anticipated.

Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis.

What You Will Bring

  • Knowledge of Baylor Laws Practice Court program and an understanding of the quarter system.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on projects independently.
  • Desire to work in fastpaced environment with a hardworking dedicated team.
  • Ability to frequently move materials boxes and exhibits weighing up to 25 pounds across the school for various needs.
  • Experience in managing a heavy workload and handle competing deadlines in a work environment involving a large number of interruptions.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze and review guidelines policies and procedures to determine appropriate solutions to problems and/or questions

What You Will Do

  • Handling all scheduling for advocacy exercises connected with the Baylor Practice Court program.
  • Serve as primary initial liaison between Practice Court students and faculty to address questions.
  • Coordinate the administrative and technical details for the conduct of classes and advocacy exercises in the Practice Court Program.
  • Track and record grades for the multiple courses and advocacy exercises in the Practice Court program.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission.
  • Ability to comply with university policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
