Job Summary:
Position Summary:
Travels to separate locations to Operate andmaintain OSUTulsa Campus. Physical Plant equipment. Maintainsequipment by tightening fittings repacking bearing replacing packing glandsgaskets valves and gauges. Cleans or replaces components using hand tools andpower tools. Maintains all air handling units by replacing defective beltsbearings lubrication of fans and replacements of filters. Maintains allbuilding lighting systems including replacement of fixtures bulbs andballasts. Performs general electrical and plumbing duties. Performs water testsand replaces chemicals as needed into treatment tank to prevent scale buildup.This role will record data such as temperature of equipment hours ofoperation water and air pressure water levels voltage loads and staticpressure. Adjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls to bringequipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges. Visually inspectsequipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair.Responds to emergency building system failures for Tulsa campus and buildings inthe evening.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift or carry usually not more than 100lbs 10 to 20 feet most frequently 50 to 100lbs 50 feet. Ability to push or pull 50 to 100 lbs 50 feet. Ability to kneel crawl crouch stoop reach stand walk finger grasp feel talk hear see and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Qualifications:
High School/GED.
Four 4 years of physical plant operations and maintenance experience
Active City of Tulsa First Class Limited Engineers License
Or Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman License
Or equivalent experience and ability to obtain Licensure
Valid Oklahoma Drivers License.
Travel Required
Skills Knowledge and Proficiencies:
Advanced knowledge of heating ventilation air conditioning chillers electrical and plumbing systems
Local state and federal codes and regulations applicable to OSU campuses
OSHA regulations and safety practices related to boiler rooms
Methods and practices used in maintaining and cleaning boilers
Various types of light fixtures lamp posts bulbs ballasts wattages volts etc...
Basic plumbing knowledge
Ability to interpret technical information and understand engineering terminology
Record and maintain accurate records of daily engineering logs
Administer preventative maintenance program for all buildings and support blueprints and building plans
Run HVAC equipment chillers and understand blueprints and building plans
Run HVAC equipment chillers and boilers
Rebuild pumps and troubleshoot motors
Handle several technical tasks at once and organize daily workload
Work overtime as needed
Interact effectively with staff faculty and students
Provide high quality service in a university setting
Preferred:
Experience with Automated building operating systems a plus. Systems include Niagara Metasys Siemens etc.
