Essentia Health is seeking an NP or PA to join the Eldercare team in providing exceptional healthcare to our adult patient population. This professional experienced and collegial team member is part of the primary care program at Essentia Health Mid Dakota Clinic. Step into a busy and growing practice that allows you to be an engaged and appreciated member of an outstanding teambased model of care.
- 1.0 FTE scheduled Monday Friday during business hours.
- Office provided at a primary care clinic location clinician will provide services at area nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Participate in the Internal Medicine call rotation (phone availability only no facetoface requirement).
- 812 patient encounters per day at longterm care facilities time is supplemented with Internal Medicine clinic.
- Licensure/DEA required in North Dakota
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decisionmaking skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients as noted in agerelated category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients coworkers and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelors/Masters degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice
