Hourly Pay Rate: $27 $29 depending on experience.
Summary of essential job functions
- Lays out positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Automotive/Class 8 truck chassis hydraulic schematic and pressure evaluation.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine safety and combustion control standards.
- Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning washing and painting.
- Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
- Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
- Increase job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Ability to lift 50lbs plus bend stoop kneel and climb ladders.
- Above all must be able to work closely with coworkers or other team members.
- Looking for the right individuals that show integrity in self and in their work.
Minimum requirements
- 3 years Truck mechanic experience
- Preferred some welding experience but not required
- 3 years electrical experience
- Must have the ability to read and repair hydraulic systems along with electrical schematics and repair and diagnose connections of circuitry.
- Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position
