The Environmental Technician position is responsible for supporting compliance with Federal State and Local environmental regulations primarily with waste but also including air and water. Routine responsibilities include documenting scheduled inspections identifying noncompliance issues and developing/implementing corrective actions.
Your scope of responsibility
- Support all Environmental Health and Safety programs policies and regulations.
- Daily activities can include waste pickup coordination managing Satellite Accumulation Areas labeling shipment assistance and maintaining inventories.
- Conducting waste audits and performing facility inspections; identifying and implementing improvements for all areas of the plant.
- General understanding of RCRA DOT SPCC and TPDES
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of environmental regulations and industry best practices pertaining to waste and water.
- Assist with the development and of environmental annual plans as well as framework ownership.
- Participate in Environmental Health & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Manage overall compliance with all Hazardous and Nonhazardous waste.
- Monitor waste streams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain OCI Beaumont Stormwater and Wastewater Systems
- Analyze and interpret environmental data to identify trends potential issues and areas for improvement
- Support development and implementation of environmental management programs and initiatives to reduce waste generation
- Participate in environmental audits and inspections ensuring appropriate documentation and follow up on corrective actions as needed.
- Stay informed about environmental regulation changes industry best practices and emerging technologies contributing to the continuous improvement of environmental performance concentration on waste.
- Participate in and completes company required training programs.
- Develop and deliver related training programs. These may include classroom and field training as well as onetoone training with individuals.
- Documenting required field activities in Environmental spreadsheets as necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation of waste inspections
- Review Daily Environmental Reports from DCS. Notify Environmental Group of any abnormalities.
- Assist HSEQ personnel in the preparation of monthly/semiannual/annual reports.
- Provide support in the development of environmental policies and procedure and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Continues to update HSEQ knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Act ethically and with integrity in every function.
- Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Assists other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.
- Provide support for ISO 9001 & 14001
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

- RCRA
- Hazardous Materials Transportation DOT
Education Experience and/or Training
- Five 5years or more of related experience and/or training preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Work Schedule
- Monday Friday between 7:00am 4:00pm.
- Will be required to work longer hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
Travel
- Less than 10 of the time.
