Position Summary:
Responsible for opening raw material boxes and packages delivering raw material to the production line.
Essential Functions:
Opens boxes and moves raw materials into the production room.
Removes raw materials from plastic packaging or container.
Feeds raw material to various production lines.
Loads chemical intervention cabinet and mechanical tenderizer (USDA department only).
Hand scaling of raw material (Seafood Only).Maintains a clean neat and safe work area including disposal of packaging and cartons sweeping storage of extra material and clean up of supplies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Ability to follow directions standard procedures and respond to instructions
Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells alarms and horns that are used to warn employees of the startup movement or approach of equipment (including forklifts turrets overhead cranes conveyors trucks and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse) mechanical abnormalities and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
Must have ability to read write and communicate in English.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
