We are recruiting for talented Senior Solicitors and Principal Solicitors with experience in the provision of legal advice in a range of legal subject areas to join practice groups in the Public Law division at the NSW Crown Solicitors Office (CSO). Classification Grade:Legal Officer Grade V (LOG V)and Legal Officer Grade VI (LOG VI)
Salary:LOG V $144140 $146966 and LOG VI $154840$158102 p.a. base salary (with superannuation and annual leave loading paid in addition)
Location: Sydney CBD (Martin Place) with flexible working arrangements available

About the roles
Senior Solicitors and Principal Solicitors in the Public Law Division deliver highquality legal advice to NSW Government agencies. Depending on the practice group in which they work our talented solicitors provide advice on diverse areas of law including (but not limited to):
Solicitors may also undertake work involving the drafting and review of contracts and other transaction documents.
Senior Solicitors and Principal Solicitors have responsibility for managing a practice and supervising solicitors in the early stages of their professional career. The roles require highly developed legal skills and suitable experience which enable the provision of advice in complex areas of law in which the division specialises in.
About the Public Law division
The Public Law division comprises of 5 practice groups: Public Law & Commercial (Advisory) Public Law & Commercial (Dispute Resolution) Employment Law & Industrial Relations Child Protection and Property & Native Title.

The CSO is here to be the NSW Governments most trusted legal advisor. We have a rich history which dates to 1817. Our principal objective is to advise and represent agencies so that they can deliver the NSW Governments policies programs and projects in a lawful effective and efficient manner. We are the sole provider of legal services in all matters regarded as core legal work. We also deliver noncore legal work to government agencies through competition with the private sector.
