Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The RT Technician will perform nondestructive radiographic testing of piping systems and fixed equipment as directed by the Mistras Pipeline Integrity Lead within their assigned area(s) of responsibility. The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off. Daily work shifts will be 12 hours including a paid 30minute lunch break.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Perform required NDE of inspections areas as directed by the Mistras Lead
  • Identify inspection locations in accordance with written procedures.
  • Document inspection findings appropriately for the given method.
  • Complete assigned inspections in a timely manner to ensure compliance with schedule.
  • Immediately report equipment malfunctions/damage to Lead
  • Perform all duties in accordance with applicable Mistras and safety requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years of inspection experience
  • Current RT (profile) certification experience with CArm preferred
  • Current IRRSP or equivalent (State Card)
  • Successfully clear Mistras T&R background check to handle radioactive materials
  • Ability to prepare formal NDT inspection reports in accordance with applicable Mistras procedures
  • Ability to follow and draft standard piping isometric drawings
  • Successful completion of a 40hr Radiation Safety Training course.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel.
  • Must be a selfstarter with strong work ethic.
  • Able to secure homeland security clearance for Trustworthy and Reliable (T&R).
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must posses or be able to posses a Rope Access Certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid drivers license

PREFFERED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Preferred working experience with a CArm system
  • Current level I or higher Rope Access certification (IRATA or SPRAT)
  • Current UT MT & PT level II (unrestricted)
  • Ability to read P&IDs
  • Experience working with an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS)

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
