Job Description
As a Name Software Engineer Intern youll be working in a highly collaborative and supportive team culture to enhance our PHP and JavaScriptbased applications. We value collaboration respect accountability transparency and humor and were looking for a Software Engineer to join us for the summer to supplement one of our 3 scrum teams.
This role reports to the Manager Software Engineering.
This will be a summer internship working up to 40 hours per week.
What Youll Do:
- Gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks as needed.
- Follow best practices in code quality modularity maintainability security and performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are / What You Bring:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (Juniors Seniors or Masters students preferred).
- Excellent communication skills enthusiasm to learn new things and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- You are a KNOWLEDGE SPONGE. You welcome constructive feedback and are always on a path toward selfimprovement.
- Experience using a Cstyle language (eg PHP C Java JavaScript Python Ruby). SQL database (eg MySQL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of functional programming modern frontend frameworks (eg Vue.js React Angular) and clientside programming. Applied Vue.js experience is a definite plus.
- Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
- Familiarity with using AI chatbots for code generation debugging and understanding complex programming concepts.
- Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization.
Salary Range
The U.S. hourly rate for this internship is $25 per hour. We will not ask for information about a candidates current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer.
